The Tent is Pitched!!

Our beautiful yellow and white gospel tent

Praise the Lord the tent has been pitched!

After a night and early morning of drenching rain, the Lord gave us the best weather possible to put up the tent! Just look at the picture above, you would not believe that around 7am the sky was looking as if a thunderstorm was about to break.

We were able to raise the tent relatively easily, as the Lord gave us a light wind to help. God is good!

We were able to fully secure the tent, dig the drainage channel around it, AND complete the stage.

We were able to leave at 4pm. Not bad.

The turnout from the men of the church was great.

By 9 am we had offloaded all 3 sections of the tent on the site, ready for assembly.
The 3 sections had to be 'sewn together'. After we had done this we discovered there was a slight mismatch between the sections. Could be that the sections were not all from the same tent.

However, it was too far to turn back now. So we let it be.

Next the poles had to be attached to their sockets.

Then we raised one end of the tent on the poles, and allowed the wind to lift it, while we propped the center and tied down the sides.

Sounds a lot simpler than it really is. A lot of manpower was involved, but none complained.
The wind helps!!

When we got the tent up, we divided into two teams; one team finished securing the tent ropes and dug the drainage channel, while the other team assembled the stage.

Raising the tent!
We took a break along the way for a hearty lunch!
We must give God the thanks and praise for all that was accomplished.

Please keep the Give Me the Bible Revival Crusade in your prayers!
